| Ukraine`s industrial production advanced 2 percent year-on-year in January, boosted by the expansion of the machine building sector, the State Statistics Service said Thursday, according to Xinhua.
However, the country`s monthly industrial output in January was down 12.7 percent from a month earlier, the agency said in a report, adding the decline was a normal seasonal trend.
In 2011, Ukraine`s industrial output growth decelerated to 7.3 percent growth year-on-year but the government expects this climb again to 8.3 percent this year.
