| Ukraine will hold a proper European football championship in 2012, Euro 2012 Director in Ukraine Markiyan Lubkivsky has said.
"I think that Ukraine will hold the tournament at a very high level. We will succeed because of our hospitality, and the people will love it," he said in an exclusive interview with Interfax-Ukraine.
Lubkivsky also expects that European guests who will arrive in Ukraine during the tournament will stir up Ukrainians and will show them a different way of behavior.
"It can give a major impetus to Europeanization of Ukraine. Euro 2012 should have a positive impact on our lives from the point of view of interpersonal communication," he said.
In his view, the funds that Ukraine has invested in the construction of four airports in the improvement of infrastructure in the cities and outside them will pay back over time. | | |
